Job Description:

FlyFlat has a requirement for the Sabre Ticketing Agent, who will play an important role in assisting the concierge team by managing flight bookings, ticketing, and personal name record data using the Sabre global distribution system (GDS). This will be work at home with the candidate based in India, who should be open to occasional traveling for training purposes and team off-site meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

Booking and Ticketing Management:

  • Efficiently book and manage international flights for clients using Sabre GDS.
  • Regularly monitor for flight price drops and make necessary rebookings to increase profitability.
  • Confirm and update itineraries, seat assignments, and frequent flyer information.
  • Respond to flight booking requests, ensuring they meet all customer requirements.

PNR and Internal Data Management:

  • Maintain and update PNR data in a timely manner.
  • Handle GDS queue inquiries according to SLAs, ensuring clear and prompt communication.
  • Accurately interpret customer requests and air travel needs, providing solutions using available tools and resources.

Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with the team to optimize booking processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience using Sabre GDS, particularly in flight booking and ticketing.
  • Strong written English communication skills.
  • Familiarity with task management tools like Asana and Google Sheets.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing during peak times.
  • Knowledge of airline industry policies.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and think creatively during complex booking scenarios.
  • Access to a distraction-free workspace with reliable internet and a personal laptop.

Nice to Have Experience:

  • Experience in booking rental cars, hotels, or cruise accommodations using Sabre.
  • Familiarity with other Global Distribution Systems (GDS), like Amadeus or Galileo.
  • A background in luxury travel, particularly international bookings.
  • Experience or interest in travel loyalty programs.
  • Previous experience in remote work with a self-driven, accountable work style.

Compensation and Employment Details:

  • Base Salary: $400-500 per month. (approximately 33,200 to 42,500 INR)
  • Incentive Pay: Additional $100+ (approximately 8,300 to 8,500 INR) per month for profitable rebookings.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week, 9-hour shifts with a 1-hour break. Flexibility for shift changes is expected.
  • Location: Remote (India-based applicants only). Travel is required for training and team offsites.
  • Start Date: December 9th-16th, TBD.
